Introduction

Use the HBAnyware remote utility to track the current status of your local host bus adapter, as well as display the status of all remote boards discovered in your SAN.

Also use this utility to update firmware on all boards discovered in your network.

Prerequisites

  • Installed Emulex host bus adapter

  • Installed driver for Solaris

  • Installed driver utility package that accompanies the Emulex driver (for more information, see the online Installation manual for the driver).

Downloading HBAnyware

The driver's utility tar file includes the configuration utility, HBAnyware and HBA API libraries. The utilities tar file is part of the driver package download, but not part of the driver tar file.

You must install the Emulex driver for Solaris before installing the utilities.
